With limited and inconsistent internet...time to catch up a bit on my early journey and my first port of entry...Roma, Italy.
Arriving at 2:00-am was a bit harsh...however My hotel choice in Rome paid off after many prior hours on the web and with Trip Advisor and others...hard to predict what your gonna get until you arrive however I will be certain to personally rate the Fiori Imperiali Cavalieri as 5 Star.
Oh the room was very small but super clean and quiet and the staff was super friendly with a morning breakfast included, that was superb...the multiple courtesy cappuccino also kept my messed up body clock going nicely!
My next room/hotel is rather a stateroom on the cruise for the next 11 nights so this cozy room at the Cavaleiri is a perfect segway to the downsizing to the Europen norm, and frankly when traveling alone, I would want it no other way!
I was easiy able to walk from the Cavaleiri hotel door to most all the major Rome historic sites, and that is exactly what I did to the maximum, the very next morning...stand by for my next post and my own glimpse of Papal and Ancient Rome, once I have internet again.
As for now...its a shared shuttle ride to the Rome sea port for the 90 minute journey...and shifting to the cruiser lifestyle for the next while! :)
